Chris Krasovich was elected Village Trustee in the spring of 2021. Her election was the culmination of a decade of service to the village and surrounding areas, as a volunteer and as an appointee to the Wisconsin Governor’s Autism Council.
Trustee Krasovich’s record of community service includes her roles on the Friends of the Pewaukee Library board, the PHS Friends of Fine Arts board, her ongoing volunteer work with the Waukesha Christmas Clearing Council, Autism Society of Southeastern Wisconsin, and (most recently) the Volunteer Service Club of Pewaukee. In 2022 she co-founded the ‘Get Lit, Pewaukee’ holiday lights contest for residents and worked with the Village of Pewaukee Police Department to establish an annual autism awareness event, building bridges between first responders and our most vulnerable residents. In 2021, Chris was appointed to the Sex Offender Residency Appeals Board, and she presently serves on the Joint Library Board.
Prior to working on local governmental issues, Trustee Krasovich’s professional background was in client services, specializing in account management and marketing. Chris was educated at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.
Trustee Krasovich and her husband, Eric, are proud residents of the Oaks subdivision, where they are raising their son and daughter.
Trustee Krasovich firmly believes that participation builds a better democracy. She is firmly committed to transparency in government and believes communication is king. To that end, Trustee Krasovich maintains a 100% rate of responsiveness to residents and business owners, reaching out to each and every person who emails or calls with a concern, and hosting regular listening sessions with residents. This standard has resulted in positive changes addressing issues that have plagued neighborhoods for years.
Beginning in 2023, residents will be able to view meetings from the comfort of their own homes, staying more informed than ever with streamed and archived recordings of meetings. This step will make elected officials more accountable to constituents and increase resident involvement in local government.
The voices of residents were loud and clear on this issue. Trustee Krasovich was proud to represent the interests of her constituents, voting to make Pewaukee the 6th municipality in the state and 486th in the country to enact ordinances that discourage irresponsible breeding.
The lakefront is the gem of the community. Chris established and leads a committee that works with all stakeholders to better improve the safety of our beach and come up with solutions to address challenges near the lake.
Chris supported the expansion of resource officer coverage at the Pewaukee schools to ensure that the safety of our most precious resource–the children of our district–remains a top priority.
Our Village grew from a sleepy vacation fishing village to what it is today. Our roads and neighborhoods can often see the traffic that they weren't built to accommodate. Chris listened to residents and worked with multiple departments to address traffic safety issues near our schools, increasing safety for all.
Trustee Krasovich collaborated with the Village of Pewaukee Police Department to create a first-of-its-kind Autism Awareness event, connecting families of individuals with disabilities to officers to create connections and break down barriers.
Trustee Krasovich keeps her finger on the pulse of this community, actively seeking out the perspectives of residents and business owners to inform the decisions she makes. And the community has taken note! Here’s what they are saying about Chris …
